Given that Arc Boosts can impact the access to buttons and other functions of a website are there any plans to offer data back to the sites so they can learn from actual user behaviors?

Insights that could be interesting to Product Mangers of the sites would include content being hidden by users, how many users actually utilize a boost, and other data that helps them improve the website for everyone.

I get your sentiment, but as from a user perspective, I don't want my data shared with sites like that. At least not without opting in to it.

Correct - but in theory in the future if there's a "Boost" Marketplace for sharing boosts between users there could be some anonymized usage statistics made available.

There's no reason to link to actual users but if Boosts are meant to improve the internet then getting that data back to the Sites themselves is an important step to close the loop.

Curious idea! Guessing that most users would hide the ads and many other functions that aren't "for them" but are about driving the business of the website operator...

Beyond those obvious aspects, it would be pretty interesting to see if any trends or novel ideas emerge.

Seems like Boost v2 are almost too simplistic and neutered compared with UserScripts and full Extensions though... do you reckon any large scale analysis has been done on extensions in the Chrome Web Store by site operators? Seems like there'd be some rich insights there beyond considering Boosts...

God dammit, Josh 🥲

How easy is it for a website to be “Boost Friendly”? Seems like a feature we’d invest in as a Web-app if it saved us from offering customization options through the Web-app itself

As an artist and designer, I am glad you have found some sense of creativity and innovation through the inspiration of art! Although Turrell also influences my artworks, I believe we all need a scene where less is more in our personal lives, just like Arc’s Boosts. Well done on creating a reflective essay on your progress, Josh! Well done. ❤
